Sunday School Ministry – Growing Children in Faith
At Evangelical Vision Church, we believe that children are a gift from the Lord and the future of the church. That is why we do our best to support, equip, and encourage parents in the important mission of raising their children in the knowledge of God. Alongside our youth and women ministries, we are deeply committed to continuing Sunday School programs in all our congregations.
Each Sunday School is led by well-trained and dedicated teachers who guide the children through prayer, worship, and biblical lessons. Classes begin at 8:30am in every congregation, following a carefully prepared syllabus designed by our preachers and Sunday School leaders. To nurture young faith, we also provide Bibles, Christian storybooks, and teaching materials, some of which are shared with us by the Bible Society of Pakistan.
Throughout the year, we organize special events such as Bible quiz competitions at Christmas, where every child receives a gift, and the winners are rewarded with special prizes. We also hold singing competitions during summer vacations, encouraging children to use their talents for the glory of God.
By God’s grace, our Sunday Schools have expanded into multiple areas, including Attari Town, Sakandar Pura Kiln, and Shabeer Bricks Manga Mundi, with each location serving at least 40 children. These programs not only build children’s faith but also give them joy, fellowship, and hope for a brighter future.
Yet, despite our efforts, we face many challenges. Apart from Christmas and Easter, we are unable to consistently provide children with clothes, food, medical care, and educational support due to limited resources. Many of these children are deserving of much more, and it is our prayer and desire to meet their needs as soon as God provides the means.
Our vision is clear: to see every child grow in education, faith, and the knowledge of God, prepared to live for Christ and serve as a light in their communities.
Hostel Ministry – Transforming Young Lives
At Evangelical Vision Church, we are blessed to run a hostel in Basti Saidan Shah, Upper Mall, Lahore, where the lives of hundreds of children are being transformed every day. These children come from remote villages where there are no schools, no opportunities for education, and where even the most basic needs of life remain unfulfilled. Many of them have grown up in extreme poverty, often neglected and without hope for a brighter future.
By God’s grace, our hostel has become a place of light and opportunity. Here, every child is provided with basic education, so they can learn to read, write, and grow in knowledge. We ensure they are given healthy meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — so they can stay nourished and strong. We clothe them with decent clothing, restoring their dignity, and most importantly, we guide them daily in Bible study and prayer, so they may grow not only in education but also in the knowledge and love of God.
Through this ministry, we are raising a new generation of children who will not only have the skills to lead successful lives but also the spiritual foundation to walk faithfully with Christ. Each smile, each prayer, and each lesson is a testimony of God’s grace working through this hostel. With continued prayers and support, we hope to expand this vision, reaching even more children in need and preparing them to be leaders for both the church and society.
Transforming Lives Through Education & Care
At our hostel, we are not only focused on providing education and meeting the daily needs of children, but also on creating an environment where they can grow, explore, and shine in every area of life. We regularly arrange educational trips and recreational outings so that children can experience life beyond their villages, gain new knowledge, and build joyful memories together. To motivate and encourage them, we also hold award ceremonies where children are appreciated for their hard work, achievements, and talents — giving them the confidence to dream bigger.
Our hostel is blessed with talented and dedicated teachers who lovingly guide the children in both academics and Bible study, helping them grow in wisdom and in faith. With access to the right learning materials and educational equipment, we are able to provide them with opportunities that they would never have had in their remote villages. Many of these children come from places where there are no schools, no teachers, and not even the most basic facilities of life. But here, they are being equipped with the tools to succeed, to grow in character, and to build a brighter future.
Every trip, every award, and every lesson is more than an activity — it is a seed planted in their lives, preparing them to become responsible, educated, and faith-filled leaders for tomorrow. Through this hostel ministry, we are not only changing individual lives but also shaping the future of families, communities, and the nation for the glory of God.
